TACOMA, Wash. – The Washington State men's golf team is tied for fourth place with DePaul after two rounds at the Seattle U Redhawk Invitational presented by OGIO, Monday, at Chambers Bay Golf Course.
WSU shot 24-over par (308) in the second round to bring its two-round total to 624 (+56). Pac-12 competitors Washington (+38, 606) and Oregon State (+50, 618) lead the field of 16, in first and second, respectively. TCU sits in third place at 623 (+55), one stroke ahead of WSU.
On a day where no golfer carded a two-round total under par, senior Evan Omelia and freshman AJ Armstrong are tied for 14th (+12, 154), five strokes behind tournament-leader Frank Garber of Washington (+7, 149). Both shot 5-over par in the first round and 7-over par in the second.
After shooting 14-over par (156) on the day, freshman Aaron Whalen is tied for 21st with six other golfers. Sophomore Zach Anderson, competing as an individual, is tied for 37th (+17, 159).
Sophomore Derek Bayley is tied for 41st with a two-round total of 160 (+18). Senior Bhurinat Songpaiboon is in 83rd (+26, 168).
