A. VANDER TUIG’S WSU CAREER. Played in 16 sets in 2014...three kills and three blocks vs. Wyoming 8/29...three kills on four attacks with no errors for .750 hpct. versus IUPUI 9/5...transferred from Azusa Pacific University in summer 2014.

A. VANDER TUIG’S PRE-WSU CAREER. At Azusa Pacific University, freshman season started 31 matches in 2012 and led the team with 131 blocks (1.12 bps) which ranked second in the Pacific West Conference…had 222 kills (1.90 kps) and a .293 hitting percentage…named to All-PacWest third team…sophomore season played in only five sets (2 matches) before injury ended season and she redshirted…transferred to WSU in summer 2014.

A. VANDER TUIG’S HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. Earned nine letters in four sports at Central Valley Christian…three as a middle hitter for volleyball coach Meghan Warkentin…two in basketball for coach Michelle McNiece…three in track as a high jumper and triple jumper for coach Brian Gilbert…one in swimming for coach Dana Gilkey…earned All-Central Sequoia League (CSL) first team and all-county honors in volleyball three consecutive years….tabbed the Visalia Times Delta and Fresno Bee Player of the Year…named CSL most valuable player as a senior after leading her team to a 31-6 overall record…squad was undefeated in league play and CIF Central Section champions all three years….recognized as the National Christian Schools Athletic Association as Player of the Year…during prep basketball playing career was team and CSL MVP and defensive player of the year senior season…named Visalia Times Delta Athlete of the Year.
