PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University signed Colorado prep Jack Strunc to a National Letter of Intent for baseball, Cougar Head Coach Donnie Marbut announced, Wednesday.
“Not only has Jack excelled as a player and a student, but he has the X factor,” Marbut said. “He is driven to be successful every day.”
Strunc played three varsity seasons at Mountain Vista High School in Highlands Ranch, Colo., where he was an All-Continental League selection each season, including a first team honoree in 2014.
A shortstop, Strunc helped the Golden Eagles reach the Colorado 5A state semifinal round as a senior while serving as team captain. He was selected to play in the Centennial/Continental All-Star Game.
Strunc is a member of DECA and the National Honor Society. He garnered first team all-academic accolades twice and posted a 4.06 GPA.
