CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Washington State women’s golf team closed out the regular season finishing tenth at Pac-12 Championships. The Cougars capped off the final round with a total score of 913 (+49). Stanford won the tournament (+5, 869) followed by Arizona and USC tied for second (+6, 870).

Sophomores, Nani Yanagi and Rachel Lewis, shined for the Washington State, both ending the tournament tied for 39th (+13, 229).  Lewis led the Cougars throughout the entire tournament and Yanagi had a solid third round to move her up the leaderboard alongside her teammate.

Junior, Kristen Rue, was not far behind the pair of sophomores ending the tournament T-44 (+40, 230). Rue carded her lowest score on the back nine only going three over par.

"I am proud of the team," said head coach Kelli Kamimura. "We played tough this week and although we didn't place where we were hoping to we showed a lot of growth and determination. I am excited about the future of WSU Women's Golf and our play this week gives us a lot to build off of for next year."

The Pac-12 Championships concludes the regular season for the Cougars and marks the end of senior, Mallory Kent’s career at WSU.
