After finishing seventh in a shortened John A. Burns Intercollegiate last week, the Washington State University men’s golf team travels to Somis, Calif., to compete in the Jones Invitational hosted by Pepperdine, Feb. 24-25.
Competing teams will play three rounds at the Saticoy Country Club in Somis, Calif…course will play at par-72 and 6,985 yards…teams will play 36 holes with shotgun starts beginning at 7:45 a.m Monday…final round played Tuesday with tee times off holes 1 and 10 beginning at 7:30 a.m.
Joining host school Pepperdine will be BYU, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge, Georgia State, Lipscomb, San Diego, San Diego State, San Jose State, UC Irvine, USC, and Washington State.
REPRESENTING WASHINGTON STATE
Competing for the Cougar men will be junior Michael Anderson, redshirt junior Sang Lee, senior Blake Snyder, sophomore Bhurinat Songpaiboon, and redshirt junior Alex Wagner.

“This should be a very good event. The course is difficult and will be the test of the tournament. For us to have success this week, we need to stay patient and minimize our mistakes. I’m excited to see what we have this week after coming from Hawaii.”
