Allie Bordeaux
Year in School: Junior
Year in CGGs: Second
Major/Minor: Strategic Communications and Sport Management
Favorite thing about being in CGGs: I love interacting with alumni, fans, and donors on game day; I might not know them but we have an instant connection because we are all there to support the Cougs and there is nothing better than a Coug fan!
Favorite Cougar Athlete (Past or Present) and why: Klay Thompson! Klay is not only an amazing basketball player but has really committed himself to the Cougar community. Recently Klay took time away from his fast-pace NBA lifestyle to come home for the WSU vs. Idaho football game where he spend majority of his time talking to fans and taking pictures with them. He really is a classy guy!
Favorite Cougar Moment: My first Apple Cup as a Coug! Sitting in Martin Stadium at the start of the fourth quarter was one of the most heartbreaking experiences but no Coug fan had given up just yet. Once the fourth quarter was underway that heartbreak turned into an excitement and adrenaline rush I will never forget!

Favorite Cougar Athlete (Past or Present) and why: Taylor Rochestie is my favorite Cougar athlete! He was always such a great leader while on the team here a few years ago, and I always looked up to him for that. Even during the harder times of the season, he always gave 110% no matter what.
Favorite Cougar Moment: My favorite Cougar moment would have to be during the 2010-2011 basketball season when the men's team beat Gonzaga down here at Beasley Colliseum. The atmosphere was one of the most amazing things I've ever experienced, even just watching the student section and ZZU CRU while sitting in the upper section. That game made me want to be a Cougar more than ever before.

Favorite thing about being in CGGs: Getting to interact with all the fans and spread Cougar spirit!
Favorite Cougar Athlete (Past or Present) and why: Kyle Weaver: He was such a versatile yet talented basketball player and was a strong leader to the WSU Basketball team in their tournament run years.

Year in CGGs: Third
Major/Minor: Major- Kinesiology; Minor- Psychology
Favorite thing about being in CGGs: Getting to do behind the scene things to help students and alumni have the best experience possible.
Favorite Cougar Athlete (Past or Present) and why: Abe Lodwick. As a basketball player he was so humble and hard working. He always had a great attitude on and off the court and did the little things during the game that made a difference. For example, he hustled and worked hard on defense to give his teammates, who might've been the bigger scorers, more opportunities to score.
Favorite Cougar Moment: Being at the 2012 Apple Cup, the day after Thanksgiving, freezing, but rushing the field when we won in overtime!
Wyatt Koller
Year in School: Junior
Major/Minor: Agriculture Food Security
Favorite thing about being in CGGs: Being able to be around WSU students that share a passion for the Cougs that I do.
Favorite Cougar Athlete (Past or Present) and why: I've been a Coug my entire life so this is a tough question. Out of all the athletes that have attended WSU, I will have to say that Will Derting because he is perhaps one of the best linebackers to play here and he also played with a passion and tenacity that was unmatched.
Favorite Cougar Moment: I have had plenty of great Coug moments, but my favorite Coug moment was watching Ryan Leaf in the 1997 Apple Cup in Seattle beat the Huskies and help guide the Cougs to its first Rose Bowl berth in 67 years.

Favorite Cougar Athlete (Past or Present) and why: My favorite Cougar athlete has to be Marcus Trufant. He was a stud in college and had a great NFL career. He was a lot of fun to watch lock down star receivers.
Favorite Cougar Moment: My favorite Cougar moment has to be the 2012 Apple Cup. There is no better feeling than storming the field after beating UW at home.

Favorite thing about being in CGGs: My favorite thing about CGGs is having the opportunity to meet new people during game day duties. This can include students, alumni and even the opposing teams’ fans. I love the fact that we get to interact with the WSU fans and promote the Cougar Athletic Fund.
Favorite Cougar Athlete (Past or Present) and why: My favorite Cougar athlete is Marcus Mason the running back for the WSU football team. He's my favorite athlete because he is amazing both on and off the field. Marcus works hard at everything his does, and is extremely dedicated to the WSU football team. His sense of humor can brighten anyone's day. Watching Marcus on Cougar Football Saturday is always entertaining and you can see his hard work pay off.
Favorite Cougar Moment: My favorite Cougar moment was when we beat UW in the Apple Cup last fall, I will never forget rushing the field, and just embracing the fact we came back to win the game. I will never forget that game!

Favorite thing about being in CGGs: Getting to meet and celebrate Cougar athletics with other students who are just as passionate as me.
Favorite Cougar Athlete (Past or Present) and why: Derrick Low. He was one of the key players in the Cougs Sweet 16 run and he couldn't miss from beyond the arc.
Favorite Cougar Moment: Easily the 2012 Apple Cup win. Toni Pole rumbling all the way down the field after picking off Keith Price in overtime. Furney with the game-winning kick. Jeff Tuel going out with a win. Priceless.
Eric Clark

Favorite thing about being in CGGs: The chance to see what goes on behind the scenes for athletic events and the ability to positively contribute to the game day experience.
Favorite Cougar Athlete (Past or Present) and why: Bobo Brayton. Brayton was an athlete as well as a coach and excelled in both. He led the Cougars through multiple victorious seasons and created an amazing baseball program here at WSU.
Favorite Cougar Moment: 2012 Apple Cup. Amazing game to see and I'm very proud to say I was there to see it all happen.

Favorite thing about being in CGGs: Being able to Wave the Flag is awesome because it just makes me realize what great fans we have here at WSU, including the alumni. I love interacting with everyone who all share something in common; we love the Cougars and are here for a good time. Everyone has great stories from what happened in the past and it is exciting to hear.
Favorite Cougar Athlete (Past or Present) and why: Mike Ladd who played for the basketball team last year, you could just tell he was a great leader. Also, I thought it was inspiring that he balanced basketball and having a kid, just shows that you can do whatever you set your mind to.
Favorite Cougar Moment: The men's basketball game against ranked Gonzaga last year. We only lost to Gonzaga by 2 points, but the whole time all the students were standing up and cheering sticking with the Cougars, it just goes to show how great of fans we have here at WSU.

Favorite thing about being in CGGs: The opportunity to see behind the scenes of athletic events and work with awesome people who love sports and love the Cougs.
Favorite Cougar Athlete (Past or Present) and why: Andrew Furney. Two words: Apple Cup. The guy is solid.
Favorite Cougar Moment: My moment is more of an era. It has been really great to be at the heart of Cougar nation with the addition of Mike Leach and staff, new stadium improvements, and some solid new recruits. To top it off, I got to drive UW's Athletic Department back to the airport after we won the Apple Cup last year. That was great.

Favorite thing about being in CGGs: Getting the opportunity to see all the behind the scenes work of a collegiate athletic department and having the opportunity to share my Cougar pride with all of the awesome alumni.
Favorite Cougar Athlete (Past or Present) and why: John Olerud. He was one of my favorite Mariners growing up and when I found out that he was also a fellow Coug it made me an even bigger fan. He is such a down to earth guy who loves his sport and his family, what can make a better role model?
Favorite Cougar Moment: Every year at WSU comes with more Cougar Moments that I will never forget. Whether it is 2012 Apple Cup, my first Dads Weekend, meeting John Olerud, or spending the Seattle Game with my family, I can't pick just one.

Major/Minor: Major - Finance; Minors - Political Science and International Business
Favorite thing about being in CGGs: With meeting WSU athletes on a personal level, to interacting with our coaches and hearing about their visions and strategies, being a CGG is a unique and exciting opportunity! I enjoy seeing the interworking of WSU Athletics and the Cougar Athletic Fund, in addition to being a large part of WSU’s school spirit.
Favorite Cougar Athlete (Past or Present) and why: My favorite Cougar athlete is Jack Thompson (“The Throwin’ Samoan”). He completed his WSU football career in 1978 as one of the most prolific passers, and continued his love of football as a NFL player for six years. In addition to being one of WSU’s “finest players,” as spoken by WSU Director of Athletics, Bill Moos, his character is what amazes me most. Jack Thompson has encouraged fellow Polynesian athletes through scholarships and character-building programs, organized a “Fill the Helmet” event that provided monetary relief to affected families of a tsunami that hit the Pacific Islands in 2009, and continues to support WSU’s Athletics. Thompson is a well-known athlete, but furthermore, a personal role model of mine, as he uses his influence and talents to lead and serve others.
Favorite Cougar Moment: One of my most unique and favorite Cougar athletic moments was while studying abroad in Switzerland. While abroad during Cougar football season, I was able to celebrate the Apple Cup victory with students from around the world! Although we couldn’t stream the game live in our small, tucked-away town amongst the Alps, through ESPN and texting updates, our watch party sent international cheering in our crimson and gray!

Favorite Cougar Athlete (Past or Present) and why: Steve Gleason. I love football and I think he has really personified what it means to be a Coug: philanthropic, influential, and radiates Cougar pride.
Favorite Cougar Moment: I feel like I have a new answer every other month because it just feels like a new and memorable moment is made in Pullman so often. The one that stands out that I think I will remember forever is Apple Cup 2012. Martin Stadium was electric and being able to experience that moment first hand will always be a part of me.

Erin Weber
Year in School: Sophomore
Year in CGGs: First
Major/Minor: Double Majoring in Business Management and Marketing and Minoring in Sport Management
Favorite thing about being in CGGs: I love CGGs because it is a great way to extend your Cougar Family. Through CGGs, you meet and interact with so many incredible Coug fans, whether they are alumni, students, or just fans of Washington State, that you create that unbreakable bond of being a Coug. The saying, "Once a Coug, Always a Coug" becomes an embodiment of the connections you make, and they last forever!
Favorite Cougar Athlete (Past or Present) and why: I don't have a favorite Cougar Athlete because there are way too many to choose from! From the past, there are so many Cougar Greats, that just picking one wouldn't be fair to all of the Cougar Athletes who went through school at Washington State as well. To the present, all of the athletes at Washington State are amazing people, and they all really appreciate the support that they receive from fans. I don't have a favorite because they all make up a part of my personal Cougar Family.
Favorite Cougar Moment: Again, there are too many to choose from! But, winning the Apple Cup in 2012 is definitely one of the many at the top of my list. It was my first Apple Cup as a student, and a few friends and myself were in the front row, so when we won the game, we were some of the first people to rush the field! It was an amazing moment in Cougar history, and I love that I can say I was there when it happened!

Favorite Cougar Athlete (Past or Present) and why: Anne Kenney because she is the coolest, funniest person I have ever met! She has played a big role in my college experience and she truly embodies what it means to be a Cougar athlete.

Kyle Yeager
Year in School: Junior
Year in CGGs: First
Major/Minor: Major in Kinesiology & Minor in Sport Management
Favorite thing about being in CGGs: I really enjoy meeting new people and working with such an awesome group. Everyone in CGG is friendly, polite, and very fun to work with.
Favorite Cougar Athlete (Past or Present) and why: That's a really tough question because so many come to mind: Will Derting, Drew Bledsoe, and Jason Gesser just to name a few. However, I would say that my favorite Cougar Athlete of all time would have to be Devard Darling. I know he wouldn't be a very popular choice but when my brother went to WSU Darling was his favorite player. My brother used to tell me that Devard was a great wide receiver when he was covered, but once he was too wide open things got a little shaky. He was still a great wide receiver for the Cougs.
Favorite Cougar Moment: Easily my favorite Cougar moment was the 2012 home Apple Cup game. Waiting in line for hours to get in, cold most of the time, and being down by so much going into the 4th quarter was all worth it when we took it to overtime and Andrew Furney kicked that game-winning field goal.
Emily Fenster

Swimming has always been my favorite sport and I love watching them swim every year, they both embody the values, character and heart that define a true Cougar athlete.
Favorite Cougar Moment: The Apple Cup win last year because it showed a great change being made in cougar football!

Favorite Cougar Athlete (Past or Present) and why: Royce Woolridge. I love how he plays and he is still getting better with each game.
Favorite Cougar Moment: Beating the Huskies and rushing the field after the 2012 Apple Cup. It was one of those moments that I will never forget and reminded me why Coug fans are so optimistic.
Maureen O'Callaghan
Year in School: Senior
Year in CGGs: Third
Major/Minor: Double majoring in Civil Engineering and Communication
Favorite thing about being in CGGs: Exposure to Athletics behind-the-scenes; learning and experiencing how an intercollegiate athletic department operates on the administrative, organizational level.
Favorite Cougar Athlete (Past or Present) and why: Camryn Irwin (volleyball, 2010-13) is a woman of passion and grace, intelligence and kindness. She's a brilliant athlete with an addiction to winning and a commitment to teamwork that is absolute. The way she handles herself on and off the court is inspiring and encouraging to me, as a young woman of the same age.
Favorite Cougar Moment: Apple Cup 2012. My best friend was visiting from Melbourne, Australia and stayed with me for Thanksgiving break. Experiencing the game with someone who wasn't familiar with the famous rivalry was hilarious, and that she'd never seen American football before made it extra special. We were in the student section for the entirety of the contest and of course we jumped the fence with a thousand other fans. I don't know if she or I was more excited by the spectacle!
