KANSAS CITY, Kan. – For the third time in 2013, Washington State Head Soccer Coach Keidane McAlpine has received a coach of the year honor.
The latest hardware to be added for the second-year Cougar mentor is the NSCAA Pacific Region Coach of the Year Award.
Last month, McAlpine was named the Pac-12 Coach of the Year, a first for Washington State women’s soccer, and garnered the Madness Women’s Soccer Pac-12 Coach of the Year accolade.
“This is a tremendous honor,” McAlpine said. “It could not have been done without the assistance of a great staff of amazing people and wonderful coaches.”
Washington State posted a 14-3-4 mark, tying the school record for victories. The Cougars appeared in their third-straight NCAA postseason, a first for the program. Washington State’s individuals and team set or tied 27 school records.
The Cougars finished second in the Pac-12 for the first time in school history and made their fifth postseason appearance in the last-six years.
