Washington State senior forward Micaela Castain (player) and Cougar Head Coach Keidane McAlpine (coach) were named best in the Pac-12 for 2013…first honor of each kind for Washington State in the Pac-10/12 era…Castain was named to the All-Pac-12 First Team…senior defender Rachael Doyle and junior midfielder Nicole Setterlund garnered All-Pac-12 Second Team…redshirt-freshman defender Susie White grabbed a spot on the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team.

Cougar Head Coach Keidane McAlpine is in his second year at Washington State, and his seventh year overall as a head coach...McAlpine is 26-9-5 in Pullman and 66-57-16 overall…led Cougars to postseason in each of his two seasons in Pullman…Washington State is making its third-straight NCAA Championship appearance, a first for the program…McAlpine is coaching in his third NCAA postseason (Birmingham-Southern, 2004)…also led BSC to the NAIA National Tournament in 2000.
