SAN FRANCISCO - The Washington State University volleyball program will have 14 matches televised in 2013, the Pac-12 Networks and Pac-12 Conference announced Monday.

"We're very excited about our 2013 schedule and excited to have 14 matches on television," third-year Head Coach Jen Greeny said. "Any time you play in the Pac-12 every night is going to be tough. I think the schedule, especially for our home matches, is going to be great for our fans to come out and watch us play in Bohler Gym. The TV matches are great not only for our volleyball program but also for Washington State University as a whole for people across the country to see what we have to offer here in Pullman."

The Pac-12 Networks has been broadcasting live contests and additional programming about the members of the Conference of Champions since August 12, 2012. WSU had a dozen volleyball matches televised in 2012. In the second year of operations, the Pac-12 Networks will televise 90 women's volleyball matches, eight more than the initial season. Additionally, ESPN has selected three Pac-12 matches to be televised live on ESPNU this season.

WSU's opening Pac-12 match will be at home against cross-state rival Washington Wed., Sept. 25, in a 7:30 p.m. contest to be televised live regionally on the Pac-12 Networks. Other TV contests for the Cougars include Arizona, Arizona State, California, Colorado, Oregon State, Stanford and USC. The Nov. 6 match at Arizona State will be a Pac-12 Networks national telecast.

The Cougars open the 2013 volleyball season at the Army Black Knights Invitational tournament in West Point, NY, Aug. 30 through Sept. 1, taking on Alabama, Seton Hall and host Army. The next weekend WSU hosts the Cougar Challenge tournament in Bohler Gym, playing Eastern Washington, Texas Tech, Montana and South Dakota.
