PULLMAN, Wash. - Former Washington State University soccer forward Brandi Vega is off to a good start in the United Soccer Leagues' W-League.
Playing for the Bay Area Breeze, based in San Francisco, Vega has tallied two goals and an assist for a team-leading five points through six matches.
The Breeze is tied for fourth in the Western Conference and faces the conference-leading Seattle Sounders Women, Friday. The Sounders are undefeated in seven matches and host the Breeze in a 7 p.m. match at the Starfire Sports Complex Stadium in Tukwila, Wash.
Vega finished her four-year Cougar career ranked in the Washington State all-time top 10 for game-winning goals (tied-third), points (sixth), goals (tied-sixth) and assists (tied-eighth).
