What is a Sports Pass?
2013-14 Sports Pass (undergraduate student): $129
2013-14 Sports Pass (graduate student): $175
The Student Sports Pass is an ACADEMIC YEAR pass which allows admittance to all regular season home events in Football, Women's Volleyball, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, and Baseball from August through May, based on student section seating availability. A sports pass does not guarantee admission into an event, since there are times when the student section reaches capacity. Once the Sports Pass is purchased, you simply need to swipe your ID card at the Student Entrance to gain admission to home events.
The Sports Pass also includes "home" WSU Football games at CenturyLink Field in Seattle and any "home" Men's Basketball games at Spokane Arena or at KeyArena in Seattle. Tickets for these home games at venues outside of Pullman usually require ticket pickup in advance of game day. A Sports Pass does not include admittance to any NCAA or Pac-12 championship events. The approximate value if all student tickets were purchased separately is greater than $450.
Purchasing a Sports Pass
A WSU student can purchase a Sports Pass in two ways:
1. When you initially register for your classes online at www.zzusis.wsu.edu/, check the appropriate box and it will be charged to your student account.
2. After registration, students can still purchase a Sports Pass at www.zzusis.wsu.edu/.
- 1. Log in to your zzusis account
- 2. Click on "Main Menu"
- 3. Click on "Student"
- 4. Select "Finance and Purchase"
- 5. Select "Optional Services"
Once a Sports Pass is purchased, all requests for refunds MUST be made in person through the Athletic Ticket Office, located on the Northeast Plaza of Martin Stadium, just off Stadium Way. A full refund will be provided upon request through September 27, 2013, ONLY if the sports pass has not yet been used for admission to a WSU sporting event. Sports passes purchased in the spring term will be eligible for refunds until January 31, 2014, also only if the sports pass has not yet been used for admission to a WSU sporting event. Students have no online ability to uncheck their initial "Yes" selection.
Those students who wish to apply for a refund should fill out the Sports Pass Refund Form and return it to the Athletic Ticket Office.
Improper Sports Pass Use
If a student ID card (CougarCard) is found to be used by someone other than the student, the card will be confiscated immediately and the Sports Pass will be deactivated for the remainder of the academic year without a refund.
Student Seating at Athletic Events
General Admission Seating Options
The student section in Martin Stadium is located on the North side only. There are approximately 8,500 seats available to students. Due to construction of the Football Operations Building, the West End Zone is NOT student seating for the 2013 season. Gates open two hours prior to game time. If you wish to be seated in the lower portion of the student section, we suggest that you arrive as early as possible. There is typically a line at the student entrance well before the student gates open.
The student section in Beasley Coliseum is located on the North side only. There are approximately 4,000 seats available to students, first-come, first-served. Doors open 90 minutes prior to game time. ZZU CRU members have priority seating in the lower student section, ‘The Cage,’ prior to tip-off. If seats are still available in the area, 'The Cage' opens to all students after tip-off.
OTHER VARSITY SPORTS
Volleyball, Women's Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, Rowing, and Track and Field all have general admission student seating. Doors open one hour before events.
Reserved Seating Options
Reserved seats are located on the South, East and Northeast sides of Martin Stadium. Students who wish to sit in the Reserved section must purchase a Reserved section ticket.
All Beasley Coliseum seating outside of the student section is reserved, and tickets can be purchased in advance online or at the game. Students who are interested in having a guest sit with them in the student section should purchase Student Guest Tickets for the student section.
OTHER VARSITY SPORTS
At Volleyball, Women's Basketball and Baseball, student seating is general admission. Pre-sold tickets in reserved seats are also available through the WSU Ticket Office. There is no charge for Swimming, Rowing, Tennis, Golf, Track and Field and Soccer and all seating is open.
Football Student Tickets
Students can purchase Student Tickets or Student Guest Tickets for home football games, based on availability. Due to the limited seating and high sports pass attendance at the first two games, there will be no Student Guest Tickets sold for those games. Student Tickets and Student Guest Tickets are general admission, and are limited to the Student Section (North side of Martin Stadium).

ADVANCE FOOTBALL SALES
Student Tickets and Student Guest Tickets will be available online at WSUCougars.com beginning Sunday, August 25 at 12:15 p.m. for Arizona State and Utah only. Student Tickets and Student Guest Tickets will not be sold prior to this date. There is a limit of four guest tickets per student for Arizona State and Utah, and a limit of one ticket for the Dad's Weekend game against Oregon State. It is suggested that parents purchase reserved tickets in Martin Stadium to ensure a seat for the Dad's Weekend game. There will be no student guest tickets available for Southern Utah or Idaho.
Immediately following the completion of the sale an email will be sent with the "Print at Home" ticket. Each student who purchases student tickets and guest tickets online is responsible for printing out the ticket at home before the game. Tickets purchased online at least two days prior to the game will be discounted by $10 compared to tickets purchased the day before or day of the game (except Dad's Weekend). Availability of Student Tickets and Student Guest Tickets is limited. Purchase early!
DAY-OF-GAME FOOTBALL SALES:
Please check with the Athletic Ticket Office to see if there will be Student Tickets and Student Guest Tickets available day of the game. Student Tickets and Student Guest Tickets will be available at the northeast corner of Martin Stadium (Gate A ticket booth) on game day, based on availability. The Gate A ticket booth at Martin Stadium will open two hours prior to game time, and will remain open until halftime. These tickets will be full-price tickets, compared to tickets purchased in advance online at WSUCougars.com. Since Student Tickets and Student Guest Tickets could sell out prior to game day, it is suggested you purchase in advance.
APPLE CUP TICKETS
Only students with a Sports Pass are admitted to the Apple Cup game at no additional charge when the game is held in Pullman. There are typically NO STUDENT GUEST TICKETS sold for the Apple Cup in Pullman. When the Apple Cup is held in Seattle, as it is in 2013, student tickets are sold online on a first-come, first-served basis to the top 500 ZZU Point students. WSU has been allotted 500 student tickets to sell for that game. All student ticket sales for the Apple Cup are final. No refunds are issued.
THE SEATTLE FOOTBALL GAME TICKETS
WSU students with a Sports Pass can receive tickets to the football game at CenturyLink Field on a first-come, first-served basis, at no additional charge, until all student tickets have been allocated. Tickets for the Seattle game are general admission within a designated student section area (Sections 114-123; 214-215) at CenturyLink Field. Those tickets will be distributed starting Monday, August 26, 2013, at 9 a.m., to students with a Student ID card at the Athletic Ticket Office on the Northeast Plaza of Martin Stadium, just off Stadium Way. There is a limit of one complimentary ticket per student with a Sports Pass. Student or Student Guest tickets can also be purchased at that time for $40 each, regardless of whether the student owns a Sports Pass. Those tickets are general admission within the same designated student sections. If student tickets remain after the distribution date, they will be available until the student section allotment is completely accounted for.
Men's Basketball Student Tickets
Students can purchase 2-4 tickets for most home games, though the WSU Athletic Department reserves the right to restrict sales beyond Sports Pass holders if Sports Pass holder attendance is expected to exceed the student seating capacity. That determination will be made by the Monday prior to game week. Tickets can be purchased during the week of home games online at WSUCougars.com, starting the Monday prior to that week's games at 9 a.m. General admission Student Tickets and Student Guest Tickets are available to any student with a valid WSU Student ID for $10 if purchased in advance. On game days, student tickets can be purchased outside Beasley Coliseum at the Section 5 student ticket window (at the Beasley side of the footbridge crossing Stadium Way), starting 90 minutes prior to tipoff, unless tickets have sold out prior to game day. These tickets may be used by non-WSU students as long as they are purchased by WSU students. Tickets purchased day of the game are $15.
MEN'S BASKETBALL GAMES AT TOYOTA CENTER IN TRI-CITIES, WASH. (TBA)
More information for student tickets for this game will be announced shortly.
Your mom/parents won't want to miss a sensational weekend of Cougar Athletics during their visit to Pullman in April. WSU traditionally will host a Pac-12 Baseball series all weekend long, and there is no limit on the number of tickets you may purchase. Also look for a football spring scrimmage and possibly a soccer exhibition game, both free of charge.
Postseason Championships/Bowl Games
In the event WSU participates in a postseason competition, student tickets are limited and will be available to those students who have a current Sports Pass.
Students MUST have a valid WSU ID in order to enter a game, receive a refund on a Sports Pass, purchase student guest tickets or guest passes, or to purchase a Sports Pass. Reserved tickets can be purchased over the phone. Simply call 509-335-9626 locally or 1-800-GO-COUGS from out of town, Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Some fees and restrictions do apply.
