SOPHOMORE (2012-2013) – Played nine games for the Cougars…averaged 3.2 minutes, 1.1 points and 0.4 rebounds…scored first points of career (2) in debut against Eastern Washington (Nov. 10)… scored a WSU career-high 4 points at home against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Nov. 24), going 2-for-2 from the free throw line…also went 2-for-2 from the free throw line against Idaho State (Dec. 29) for 2 points.
 
PRIOR TO WSU – Played one season at Gillette College in Wyoming under head coach Sean Neary….redshirted at Gillette College as a freshman in 2010-11…in his only season at Gillette College in 2011-12, averaged 13.0 points, 6.8 rebounds and 0.9 blocks per game…is tied for second on the Pronghorns’ single-game blocks list after recording five twice as a rookie… also is tied for the record and holds the number three spot for single-game offensive rebounds after recording nine against Western Wyoming Jan. 11 and eight against Midwest Elite Dec. 3.

HIGH SCHOOL – Was a three-year member of the basketball team at Cranbrook School near Sydney, serving as team captain as a senior…as a freshman made the first five basketball team as the Bears were the Combined Associated Schools champion…once again was named first five basketball and to the All-CAS Team…as a senior, averaged 26.5 points, 13.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 2.4 steals and 4.4 blocks per game, leading his team in scoring and rebounding…in September of 2009, was selected to represent Australia as part of the Australian Schoolboys’ basketball team which traveled to the United States to compete in tournaments throughout North Carolina over a two-week period…was also selected for the NSW Schoolboys State team and competed in the School Sport Australia Basketball Championship…also participated in Rugby at Cranbrook.

 
PERSONAL – Born James Paton Hunter, June of 1991 in Nowra, New South Wales, Australia…parents Todd Hunter and Johanna Pigott are musicians…Todd is a member of the Australian rock band Dragon, and has been a part of other bands and musical projects, while Johanna was a member of the Australian punk band, XL Capris, as well as other bands and musical projects…has older brother Harry and younger brother Joey…enjoys lifting weights and music…plans on pursuing a degree in business at WSU.
