WSU CAREER. SOPHOMORE (2012-13): Outdoor - Threw javelin distance of 45.70m/149-11 at WSU-UW Dual meet...just under existing PR mark…named to Pac-12 All-Academic track and field honorable mention team.
 
FRESHMAN (2011-12): Outdoor - Threw the javelin a lifetime-best 45.80m/150-3 at the Cougar Invite (4/21/12/Pullman)…finished ninth at the Pac-12 Championships with a throw of 42.49m/138-9…at NCAA West Prelims threw the spear 41.39m/135-9 for 37th.
 
HIGH SCHOOL CAREER. Earned nine varsity letters at North Central High…three as an outside hitter/middle blocker for volleyball coach Shannon Bontrager…two letter as a post/wing for basketball coach Gabriel Madrono…four as a thrower/jumper for track coach Justin King…in volleyball career named team’s most inspirational as junior and senior…during basketball selected for Coaches Award junior year…as track athlete won school’s WOW award as freshman and NC Award as junior and senior…set freshman record in javelin (103-0)…sophomore year top javelin throw of 122-3 for third at Regional meet…junior season placed first in javelin at District meet with PR of 138-5…first at Regional meet and seventh at state 3A Championships…won District and Regional discus titles with PR throw at Regional meet of 117-5…seventh at state in discus…named Greater Spokane League Student-Athlete…first team All-GSL Track & Field…senior year repeated as District javelin with PR toss of 143-5 which was North Central High record and District Meet record mark…also repeated as discus champ and added shot put title…repeated as first team All-GSL for Track & Field…at Regional meet won javelin, second in discus with PR of 126-0, and third in shot put with PR of 36-2…at state 3A Championships placed third in javelin, sixth in discus and 12th in shot put.
 
PERSONAL. Born in November 1992, in Grangeville, Idaho…parents are Robert and Celeca Ward…older sisters Ericha Milender, Megan Ward and Brittney Kiernan…had perfect attendance in high school all four years…graduated with a 3.6 grade point average…majoring in general biology at WSU.
