Dan Meyer
Position: Dir. of Ticket Sales & Operations
Dan Meyer joined the WSU Athletic Department in July of 2004 as the Director of Ticket Sales. Managing a four-person staff, as well as 10-12 student assistants, he has overseen the top four seasons in terms of football season ticket sales in school history, and record-setting revenues in men's basketball.

Dan came to the Palouse after a seven-year run at Portland State University. His tenure at Portland State had him serve in a variety of roles, culminating with a three-year stint as the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing. In that role, he directed the marketing, promotions and advertising efforts for 14 athletic teams, and oversaw a marketing budget in excess of a half million dollars. Meyer was in charge of developing strategies and campaigns designed to promote attendance at home games and generate ticket sales. He oversaw the marketing of the highest-grossing football and men's basketball events in Portland State's history. Meyer was also in charge of PSU's corporate sponsorship sales in excess of $300,000 annually. He established and managed the first student marketing internship program (the V Team) within athletics at Portland State. The V Team was created to focus on athletic marketing efforts on campus, specifically to students. Among their accomplishments was soliciting a record student turnout to the 2002 Portland State-Montana football game.

Prior to his promotion to the marketing position, Meyer spent three and a half years in charge of game day event management, as well as coordinating operational and promotional activities as the Vikings' Director of Game Operations and Promotions. Along with overseeing a $250,000 operations budget, Dan had the honor of serving as the Tournament Director for the 2000 NCAA Women's Basketball West Regional.

A 1994 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Meyer worked for three years as a student assistant in the Badgers' media relations department. He then spent three more years after graduation assisting in the office as the primary contact for the nationally ranked wrestling team and the 1995 national champion men's soccer team, as well as assisting with the nationally ranked football and men's basketball programs. Three of his media guides were cited for being among the best in the nation by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Dan is originally from Brookfield, Wisconsin, and earned Bachelor of Business Administration degrees in marketing and management. He was married in July of 2003 to the former Sara Peets, and they have a son, Evan.
