PULLMAN, Wash. - Washington State University's 1999-2000 men's basketball schedule includes 17 home appearances and four live television appearances on FOX Sports Net.

In addition to meeting nine traditional Pacific-10 Conference foes at home, the Cougars are slated for home games against Idaho, Grambling State, Gonzaga, Southern University, Portland and Utah. The Cougar schedule includes a pair of home games at the Spokane Arena, the annual battle with Gonzaga Nov. 29, and USC Jan. 6 contest prior to the start of the school year in Pullman.

"We have an outstanding schedule that our fans will enjoy," said Paul Graham, who is busy preparing for his first season as WSU's head coach. "It is a tough schedule for a rookie head coach and a relatively young team. We have the third longest non-conference home game wins streak in the country at 41 straight (behind Maryland and North Carolina) and we will do our best to keep our winning streak alive."

The Cougar non-conference schedule includes a visit by the Utah Utes of head coach Rick Majerus, the Gonzaga Bulldogs fresh off an Elite 8 appearance last year in the NCAA tournament, and the Battle of the Palouse with Idaho in Pullman Nov. 27. Also included are a pair of exhibition games in early November.

FOX Sports Net has confirmed four national television appearances for the Cougars, including three in Pac-10 play and the sectional battle with Utah Dec. 11. WSU's conference games to be shown by FOX Sports Net are home games with Oregon Jan. 22 and Washington Feb. 5 and the Cougar's road game at UCLA Mar. 9.

"This schedule is highlighted by nationally televised home games with Utah, Oregon and Washington and our away game at UCLA," Graham offered.

WSU's season officially will begin with a non-conference match-up at Nevada-Reno with the Wolf Pack. Also included in the schedule is a men's and women's doubleheader Dec. 4. The Cougar men will host Southern University at 1:00 p.m. at Beasley Coliseum, while the WSU women host Eastern Washington at 3:00 p.m.
