Women's Golf Opens 2012 Season at Wildcat Invitational

This Week: The WSU women's golf team will open its 2012 spring season at the Wildcat Invitational in Oro Valley, Ariz. The tournament will be at The Golf Club at Vistoso hosted by the University of Arizona. There will be one round of eighteen holes each day, all beginning with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.

The Course: The Golf Club at Vistoso will play at 6,250 yards and a par 72 for the tournament.

The Field (GolfStat Rankings): Joining WSU on the course are Arizona (22), Arizona State (8), Colorado (23), Denver (40), Northern Arizona, New Mexico (44), New Mexico State, North Texas, Oregon State, Portland State, San Diego State (34), Stanford (41), and UCLA (1).

Last Time Out: The Cougars wrapped up the fall season at the Challenge at Onion Creek, finishing in 11th place with a score of 916 (+76). Sophomore Mallory Kent led WSU with an 8th place finish.

Next Up: The women's golf team will travel to Peoria, Ariz. for the Westbrook Spring Invite Feb. 26-27.
