THIS WEEK
Washington State (3-1-0) travels to Laramie, Wyo., for a nonconference soccer match with the Wyoming Cowgirls (5-1-0), Sunday, Sept. 9 at noon Pacific...first road match of the season...Cougars played first-two weekends at home before traveling to Los Angeles for a pair of neutral site matches last weekend...live stats will be run by Wyoming at www.wyomingathletics.com and can be accessed at www.wsucougars.com.

LAST WEEK
Washington State split a pair of matches at the USC Futbol Classic in Los Angeles...Cougars rallied from a 1-0 deficit on a pair of goals from Micaela Castain to post a 2-1 victory over San Diego, Aug. 31...victory gave Washington State its first 3-0-0 start since 2005...Cougars lost to No. 4 Duke 4-0 in their second match of the tournament, Sept. 2.

WASHINGTON STATE HEAD COACH Keidane McAlpine
Cougar Head Coach Keidane McAlpine is in his first year as head coach at Washington State, and his sixth year overall as a head coach...McAlpine is 3-1-0 in Pullman and 43-49-11 overall.

COUGARS RECEIVING VOTES
Washington State is receiving votes in the Soccer Times Top 25 poll for the second-straight week...Cougars are No. 4 in the NSCAA Pacific Region poll.

ABOUT WYOMING
The Cowgirls are 5-1-0...Wyoming dropped its season opener and has won five-straight since, including four in Laramie...Olivia Mohtadi leads the Cowgirls with three goals...Sara Paul is the team leader in assists (six) and points (10)...Carmen McDermott has the majority of time as goalkeeper with a 3-0-0 record in 329 minutes.

SERIES WITH THE COWGIRLS
Washington State has won both of the previous meetings with Wyoming...Cougars defeated Cowgirls 3-0 in 1999 and 2011...both matches were played in Pullman...last season, Micaela Castain scored twice for the Cougars and Bethanie Skelton added her first-career goal.

WASHINGTON STATE IN THE PAC-12 RANKINGS
Junior Micaela Castain, senior Brandi Vega and freshman Kourtney Guetlein are among the statistical leaders in the Pac-12 Conference...Castain leads the Pac-12 in goals per game (1.25), and ranks in goals (second, 5), points (tied for second, 10), points per game (tied for second, 2.50), and game-winning goals (tied for second, 2)...Vega is tied for sixth in points per game (1.50), assists (2) and assists per game (0.50), tied for ninth in points (6) and tied for 10th in goals per game (0.50)...Guetlein is tied for sixth in assists (2) and assists per game (0.50).

LOOKING AHEAD
When Washington State returns to Lower Soccer Field, Sept. 14 (4 p.m. against Hawaii), it will mark the lone home match in September for the Cougars...in addition, it will be the first of seven appearances for Washington State this season on the Pac-12 Networks...Cougars will play six matches on the road in September, beginning with Sunday's match at Wyoming.
