SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Washington State University men's basketball junior forward Josh Hawkinson has been named All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention for the second-straight year, commissioner Larry Scott announced Monday.
A native of Shoreline, Wash., Hawkinson leads Washington State with 15.6 points and 11.0 rebounds per game, ranking 10th and first in the Pac-12, respectively. Hawkinson leads the Pac-12 with 20 double-doubles and is one of just two Pac-12 players to average a double-double, while leading the league and ranking second in the NCAA with 9.4 defensive rebounds per game. Last season Hawkinson was also named All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention, as well as Pac-12 Most Improved Player of the Year. He is the 21st Cougar to earn all-conference honorable mention, as it marks the 24th time a student-athlete has earned the accolades.
The Cougars continue their season as they enter the 2016 Pac-12 Tournament as the No. 12 seed and take on No. 5 Colorado, Wednesday, March 9 at 2:40 p.m. at MGM Grand Garden Arena.
