Tied at 22, Seattle U committed an attack error and took a timeout. Samadan's kill knotted the set at 23 before successful attacks by Woodford and Holt gave the Cougars the set win and match sweep.
“Just a great morning for our hitters with only nine combined hitting errors. Anytime we put up numbers like that we have a great chance of being successful,” WSU Head Coach Jen Greeny said. “Kyra found her groove and hit exceptionally well from the back row. She was smart with the ball keeping it in play regardless of how it got to her.”
Tonight in Memorial Gym, Washington State plays host Idaho (1-3 pending match with UC Irvine) at 7 p.m.
